#18 Take vengeance on someone you don’t like
There are days when Dr. Phil ought to get beaten up. There are days when I think Mia Thörnblom should shut up and Stefan Einhorn's super-nice books be put away in favor of pure revenge. There are times when it is legitimate to scheme, figuring out a way to fight back and then take out all of your anger on the person who has committed a wrong against you.
Some start indie rock band.
Some become security guards.
Others become teachers.
All to get their revenge on the bullies, society, parents, people or groups that did them wrong. But why not lift this feeling to a more realistic and constructive level? Take direct revenge on the person who for some reason you hate or who has hurt you bad. It doesn’t have to involve mental or physical revenge. It doesn’t even need to involve violence. There are many subtle and much more fun ways to get revenge than to beat the person who fucked with your life. Fighting is uncivilized and fucking lame. To sit up a whole evening and find a spectacular, fun and entertaining ways to get revenge is darn right creative.
a) Think of a person against whom you wish take vengeance. Find out exactly what that person did to you, if it was deliberate and why they did it. If they still feel like an evil bastard go to point B.
b) If you don’t already know the person, it is time to find out who they are. Ask the person's friends, Google and / or find out more about this person to get a good information base for vengeance
c) Lay out a plan that is practical and economically feasible. It feels a bit unnecessary to plan to hire fifteen mimes to wake the person up by being in his staircase 06.00 on a Monday if you still won’t be able to afford it. Instead mess with him by sending strange text-messages from secret numbers or send dead roses to his job with a note that says "your colleagues think you smell."
Bonus: If you need inspiration for you road to revenge, you should look at Revenge-triolgy. Three films that all deal with different kinds of revenge. First up is Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Old Boy, and then finally Lady Vengeance.
