#73 Postpone things
One of the reasons that I often feel stressed out is that there is a man in my left lung that says: Everything everything everything. Now now now!
I don’t know how he got there but he’s wrong. The problem is that he doesn’t know it sometimes. I usually try to discourage him by making lists of things I'm going to do and set a date for when I’m going to do them. This is the easiest way to shut him up. The weapons I use are: the calendar as a shield, post-it notes as swords and the reminder feature on my cell phone as a kind of axe.
To postpone things is to give yourself time. To give yourself time is to give yourself peace. To give yourself peace is the best and the nicest thing you can do for your brain and body. Your poor left lung may have to accept the fact that the old man lives there. But never stop fighting him.
Bonus: Read David Allen's book "Getting Things Done".
