#133 Start a fund raiser for something you believe in

When I was in third grade, we had UN week in school to teach us what it was like to live in another country. Our teacher divided us into different countries. I got Chile. I had never been to Chile. The only connection I had to Chile was my friend Marco who was from there.

During the next week we only ate the food of our assigned countries. So if you got the U.S. so you just ate hamburgers, pizza and stuff like that. But if you had the misfortune to get Somalia you could only eat small portions of rice and water.

To start a fund raiser for something you believe in is another way to show that you are a citizen of the world and not an isolated island. The funds raised don't need to go to a poor country or endangered animals across the planet. It can go to cancer research, or a sick child in your hometown.

Required time:
10 minutes to start one. Then, it is of course the case that the more time you spend on the fund raiser, the more money you can raise.
Cost:
Zero.
Cons:
There are so many things worth to raise money for that it can be difficult to choose.
Pros:
You do something good for the world. Something selfless. It's good for karma, your soul and the planet.
