#139 Pirate more

The feeling of being on stage before hundreds of people can not compare with anything else. If I could, I'd bottle that kind of goose bumps and sell it for a hefty price at the supermarket.
When the gig is over, me and the guys in the band go down in the audience and sell CDs and t-shirts. We talk to the people who have paid for a ticket to come and watch us. Young, old, mad, nice, geeky and semi-tough people who only minutes earlier stood and sang along with the songs, sometimes so that we ourselves were hardly heard from the stage. Converse shoes are signed with smileys and autographs. Bags are drawn on. Posters covered with names and greetings. Discs and sleeves receive small drawings. And then suddenly the question:

- Can I download your album?

It's usually pretty quiet. Then people start to laugh and then I usually have to stand and list the various sites where you can download our music illegally for free. The guys in the band often wonder what I'm doing, but I think it's fun. Hell yeah, you can download our music. I'm all for a free society. I like the idea of all the music, movie and software circulating at a tremendous speed. Anyone can get it fast as hell. My only criticism is that we should broaden the pirate force. The Pirate Party and other pirate bodies should take their job seriously and not just pirate online or pirate music, movies or software.

Next year I'm going to pirate Göteborgsvarvet, Gothenburgs 21 km race. Instead of paying €40 I'm going to run it a few days before. The stretch is painted in blue in advance so you can just run it yourself. Perhaps Markus and Tommy will come too.

And you can pirate clubs. Stand outside the club with some buddies and dance. The music is usually heard out on the street. So why pay the entrance fee?

There are thousands of things you can pirate. Concerts in major venues are pirateable; when there's a concert at Ullevi stadium in Göteborg, just sit on one of the hills nearby and listen.

Do you have any tips on what you can pirate, without it needing to be illegal? Email to info@365thingsyoucando.com and you could win great prizes.

Required time:
Depends on what you do.
Cost:
Free.
Cons:
People who organize Göteborgsvarvet or the clubs you pirate could get pissed, but since you aren’t violating any laws they can't do anything.
Pros:
You don't have to pay and you don’t have to do what everybody else does.
