#145 Volunteer in a soup kitchen

There is a medicine for a guilty conscience. It called direct debit. Become a child sponsor, adopt a tiger, plant trees in the rainforest or just let some nice organization deduct some money from your account automatically each month. No real commitment, it doesn't take up any of your time and you do not see shit. There is nothing wrong in itself sponsoring a child. I have sponsored children and I have planted trees. But the question is whether it's enough.

Hello my name is Navid. I'm 26 years old and live in an apartment in central Gothenburg with cats and my girlfriend. I don't want to be a lazy, unsympathetic bastard. And I think the trick is to actually do things for real for other people in addition to direct debit, child sponsorship and planting trees. That poor people not only get food and money but that they are also helped to have faith in the future. Confidence is created by allowing them to see that others care. Caring by being there.

Bonus - Here you can click on the Become a Volunteer and you can be involved and help with various causes. From the helping out at retirement homes to assisting secondary students with homework. http://www.manniskohjalp.se/

Required time:
A small slice of your time means a lot to someone else.
Cost:
Free.
Cons:
You may need to rebook your manicure.
Pros:
To help someone else strengthens your being, by giving you a function and seeing that someone needs you. And it's a lovely, powerful feeling.
