#160 Build a sandcastle

When I was little, I was probably a bit stupid. I don't have many other good reasons why one of my clearest memories is me sitting on a sandy beach pouring sand over a dozen jellyfish. Me and my cousins then piled the jellyfish on top of each other in the form of a tower, building a sand castle of shocked jellyfish and sand grains.

I could sit for hours with my sand castle. It wouldn’t matter if a bunch of circus clowns had handed out free video games consoles and candy six feet away. If you're building it; your building it, and it doesn't matter who's watching, what other fun is happening or what building materials you're using.

Today there are too few occasions in my life when I get to build sand castles. It is difficult to encourage one’s friends to catch jellyfish and dump sand on them. There's also more focus on getting sunlight, resting, drinking beer and chilling on the beach. Not that it's something I don't like. But I miss the time in my life that was lined with sandcastles.

Required time:
Hours.
Cost:
20 lives of jellyfish.
Cons:
Not very nice for the jellyfish.
Pros:
You're forced to think about things you don't think about in everyday life. The design should be structurally sound. Sand can blow away, or other children can stomp on it, breaking your west wing and leaving you to rebuild the whole thing from scratch.
