#163 Participate in a zombie walk

Today's guest blogger is Erik Ungman, he lives in Gothenburg. He is ROV-pilot, a blacksmith, zombie survivalist deluxe and zombie walk organizer, together with his girlfriend Emelie.

Look around you. Look at all the people with blinders who rush between their different objectives for the day without taking any notice of the outside world. See how they carry on egocentrically without even thinking about what is inevitably going to happen one day.

Advise them harshly! Make them aware that one day there will a zombie invasion, and then they'll stand there, completely unprepared. Participate in a zombie walk!

Walk with a horde of other undead through the streets of Gothenburg and get in the way of all the plebs’ little chores. Limp and moan through the city and enjoy the reactions of the people you meet. If you prefer, you can see it as a manifestation against world hunger, which World Zombie Day represents.

Create your own zombie character. Who are you and what do you do when you become infected? Hockey player, fireman, secretary or bank manager? See a zombie film for inspiration or just let your imagination set the limit, if there is one. Get some friends together and dress up with a common theme. I can guarantee you that it'll be an experience that neither you nor all the ignorant weekend shoppers will ever forget.

Required time:
It all depends on how much time you spend on your costume. The actual zombie walk takes no more than about 2-3 hours including meeting up at the end.
Cost:
It depends again on your costume. Ranging from zero to hundreds of euros.
Cons:
Friends of order may become angry and call you nasty things and think that what you're doing to be pointless.
Pros:
An unforgettable day in the company of dead friends, and some great photos to give the grandparents for Christmas.
