#211 Get up in time to see the dawn

After sunrise, you see your city in a whole new light.

After sunrise, you see your city in a whole new light.

There are a few nights a year when you forget time and don’t go to bed. Usually around the summer months when the weather permits it. Perhaps the night of the midsummer festival, which is longer than expected or that pre-party that turns into a party and then into an afterparty and then an after-afterparty, and finally it has started to become light again and you are walking home, shoes in hand, realizing that your town is completely silent. The seagulls have started fighting about the best place to see the sun rise. Newspaper delivery men have begun their tough rounds. If you glance behind your shoulder you can see where the light’s coming from. Find a place with a view of your city and watch the sunrise. It doesn’t take long, but it's worth it.

Required time:
1 hour or less
Cost:
Free
Cons:
It's hard to just sit still and watch. Try to calm your restlessness. You do not need to be anywhere else. You do not need to do anything. Just sit and be.
Pros:
There's no better way to start a day / end a night.
