#218 Cook a random recipe

I don’t hate to cook. Still, I’m the fast-food king. I believe it’s because I think it takes too long to cook. I easily forget how good it is to eat a home cooked meal. How easy it is to go down and buy Thai food or call the ninjas at the pizzeria and hear their moped coming up to the house, then tip them a bit and sit on the sofa with a round piece of bread covered with tomato sauce and hot sauce. There ought to be the equivalent of alcohol locks on fast food. Or I should have some kind of mini version of Gordon Ramsey in the fridge that I can pick up and be inspired by? Someone who says that the homemade burgers are better than fast food ones. Someone who says that it only takes a minute to make that tomato pie in your hand. Someone who reminds me about the ease of googling a recipe and then just going for it. The worst that can happen is that you burn the pie and then you can call the ninjas at the pizzeria with a clear conscience and go on as usual anyway. Then you’ve at least tried.

Bonus – If you can’t find a good recipe, check out some of the recipes we published last week.

Required time:
1 hour or less.
Cost:
Over €10.
Cons:
You might burn your food. It can be disgusting. You may food poison yourself by mistake.
Pros:
It’s usually healthier than buying food. It’s usually cheaper than buying food. Plus you do something yourself instead of buying it. And therein lies the joy.
