#256 Have a vegetable fight

Each year in Spain they arrange La Tomatina. A highly regulated tomato fight that does not start until a person gets a ham down from an oiled pole. We’re not going to get in to the reasoning behind this event.

However, we encourage you to organize a large yearly vegetable fight. You release some aggression, you are injured only slightly, and your skin may even be positively affected by the vitamins and whatnot.

Remember not to just start throwing wildly. Sit down and organize the event with a clear beginning and end, along with a distinct game plan (your kitchen, your yard or a street parade in your hometown). Then comes the most important part:

Choice of vegetable. Tomatoes are good because they’re the right amount of sticky, on the other hand they’re quite expensive in Sweden some parts of the year. Potatoes are of course cheap, but a bit too hard - the same with carrots. Pickles could work. Once you’ve decided what has become this year's vegetable your’re ready to go. We'd love to see your vegetable-fight movies sent to us at info@365thingsyoucando.com.

Bonus - Photos from lastyear's tomato fight.

Required time:
1 day or less
Cost:
Less than €10
Cons:
To clean up after a vegetable fight is not fun. If you choose beets there’s the additional disadvantage that’s easy to picture.
Pros:
You get exercise, and are relieved of aggression, and you feel happy when the whole thing is over.
