#271 Refresh your romantic approach

Maybe you’ll find love in class? Or five minutes to three at a bar…

Friday night; at a bar that closes in five, four, three minutes:

“You seem to have fallen from the sky - because uh, what was it now? What planet are you from? I'm drowning in your beautiful eyes ... Uh, would you go home with me?”
The five to three pick-up is classic and almost never lasts more than one night, if at all.

Instead of saying embarrassing things after having drank half the bar, you could take a class and maybe find someone with the same interests as you there.

Now there are such classes aimed specifically at those who are looking for a new partner. At Rent-A-Chefs cooking classes for singles, only singles are welcome. It doesn’t matter how much cooking experience you have. You can go alone or with a date. It is easier to get to know each other when you’re actually doing something useful - like fixing an appetizer or a drink - than whilst sitting at a coffee shop trying to find a topic of conversation.

And if you’re not single, you may still want to learn how to cook good food. On kurser.se you can search for everything from cooking classes to pottery evenings.

Required time:
1 day or less
Cost:
More than €50
Cons:
You might burn the sauce and make a fool of yourself.
Pros:
It’s easier to get to know a person and find interesting topics of conversation. You also learn how to prepare delicious meals.
